Laurie Van Sant’s interest in photography started when she was only 13. Within a year, the self-taught teenager was developing and enlarging her own black and white images in her parents’ kitchen. After serving as the student photographer on the yearbook staff in high school, she pursued photography classes as part of her Bachelor’s degree in Art at Trenton State College. 

Her creative photography has received awards in various venues including “Best of Show” in the Mercer County Photography Exhibition and at Jane Law’s Long Beach Island Gallery. She’s received numerous other awards and her work appears in both private and public collections.
